The legendary Chuck D comes on board as Executive Producer of “Hustlers Convention” Riverhorse’s latest documentary feature about the Grandfather of Rap and his epic album of the same name.
A defining figure of Hip Hop, Chuck D describes Nuriddin’s “Hustlers Convention” as a ‘verbal bible to understand the streets.’
“Very rarely does ‘Hustlers Convention’ get mentioned in the annals of what emerged from it,” says Executive Producer Chuck D. “Jalal’s legacy is important – both as a member of The Last Poets and as the creator of this profoundly influential work. This is a story that needs to be told.”
The feature documentary, which completed filming early June 2014, is scheduled for release later Spring 2015.
